Privacy Policy — DTM Technologies

This Privacy Policy explains how DTM Technologies (Pty) Ltd (“DTM”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Identity: full name, ID number (for certification purposes only).
Contact: email address, phone number.
Professional: employer, job title, qualifications.
Enrolment: programme selection, payment plan, device details.
Payment: PayFast transaction references only — we never receive or store card or banking details.
Assessment: quiz scores, course progress, completion data.

3. How We Collect It

Directly: registration forms (Microsoft 365 Forms), our contact form, email, WhatsApp, and the readiness quiz.
Automatically: Google Analytics (anonymous usage data).
From third parties: PayFast transaction confirmations (references and status only).

4. Purpose of Processing

Process enrolment and manage learning
Communicate about schedules and accounts
Issue payment links and confirm receipt
Provide LMS, Teams, and course material access
Issue certificates
Improve our services using aggregated, anonymised data

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Information is shared only with: PayFast (payment processing), Microsoft (Teams / Forms), and EmailJS (contact form delivery).

6. Retention

Enrolment and payment records: 5 years.
Certificates: retained indefinitely for verification purposes.
Marketing records: retained until consent is withdrawn.

7. Security

PayFast handles all payments (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified) — DTM never stores card details.
Microsoft 365 enterprise security protects learner records.
SSL/TLS encryption is applied across dtmtech.co.za and all subdomains.
Access to personal information is restricted to Baholo Mokoena.

8. Your Rights Under POPIA

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or objection to the processing of your personal information at any time by emailing info@dtmtech.co.za. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
